FREE Sensory Champion Training Course to all Care staff, GP surgeries, and NHS staff funded by Essex County Council.
The term sensory is used by us in relation to sight, hearing and dual sensory (deafblind) impairments.
The objective of this training is to help organisations understand the different causes and conditions of sensory impairment and dual sensory loss, the impact this can have on an individual and their additional needs when engaging with your service.
Training is CPD accredited and can be held at your choice of location. Currently taking face to face bookings from April 2025. Alternatively, there are a few spaces left on the online (TEAMS) training on 23rd January, 9:30-1:30pm.
The course was co-produced with volunteers who live with sensory loss, the training will share experiences and best practices, demonstrating how to deliver a better customer service to someone with a sensory impairment.
Ultimately the training will instil confidence in your staff when communicating with someone with a sensory impairment and break down any barriers.
