Research event in East of England for Nursing, Midwives and Allied Health Professionals – booking required

This event supports the Chief Nursing Officer for England’s strategic plan for research and launch the NHS England Self-assessment of organisational readiness tool (SORT) to improve nursing research capacity in health and care in the region.

The target audience is Nurses, Midwives and Allied Health Professionals at any band or career stage with an interest, big or small, in participating and leading research to improve quality, professional standards and patient outcomes. Senior leaders with an interest in influencing and ensuring organisational readiness for improving research capacity in health and care are also welcome.

The aims of the event are to:

  • Explore why research matters.
  • Share what research looks like in the East of England.
  • Showcase the work that is already taking place.
  • Launch and explore the Self-assessment of organisational readiness tool (SORT).
  • Raise the profile of research for nurse, midwives and allied health professionals region wide.
  • Build and share a community of practice

Senior Leaders wishing to attend are encouraged to attend with a nursing, midwifery or allied health professional colleague with an interest in research or influencing a culture of research.

Please note we are also looking for people to attend who wish to show case their work and present formally or in a market-place forum and wish to ensure this opportunity is available across all workstreams and disciplines.  If you are aware of any interesting work taking place currently or indeed recently completed, please do let me know.
