The NHS England – National CNO Nursing Team is developing a Catheter Care Best Practice document with stakeholders from all settings and they would really like for Primary Care to be represented!
This may interest Primary Care Nurses that may have specialist interest in bladder and bowel health including catheters. They are asking for 2 representatives in each region.
What is the commitment expected from the individuals once join this work?
The CNO nursing team will work out cadence of meetings at the next group. However, it is envisaged:
- A monthly task & finish group meeting where work is designed and worked through.
- A monthly integrated meeting with the whole stakeholder membership to update on progress and to talk through any logistics.
- In our region, we are planning to use our GPN as a platform to do this. The expectation is for you to feedback to the region through the GPN Network as the topic will be an agenda item moving forward. By doing so, we streamline comms, increase participation/input and accelerate efficiencies.
They are looking to start this work at the beginning of April. It is anticipated this should be completed in 3-4 months.
