Suffolk and North East Essex are hosting a free event on the 1st May 2025.
Learn how to support people with a learning disability and autistic people with epilepsy and/or with constipation and how to put strategies into place. Speakers from different health and care roles will provide both clinical and practical advice with real-life tips and medical facts.
Morning session
- Epilepsy – A brain condition that causes seizures.
- Bowel Management/Constipation – Making sure people are not having trouble pooing.
Afternoon session
- Restore2 mini training – Training for carers to spot when someone’s health gets worse.
This event is for anyone who supports and cares for people with a learning disability and autistic people, their families, carers and professionals. We will have speakers from different health and care jobs. They will give both clinical and practical advice.
There will also be stalls you can visit for more support and advice. Free refreshments will be provided for everyone. Free lunch will be provided for people booked on the morning session. The venue is fully accessible. There are disabled parking spaces & toilets.
