NQP and CPD training for pharmacist in the East of England

We are increasingly seeing more experienced pharmacists join our modules to support their continuing professional development and career progression.

Frequently they are:

  • Pharmacists who are returning to prescribing or taking on the DPP role and who want to refresh their physical assessment/clinical reasoning through the Core Clinical Skills module.
  • Pharmacists who are looking to develop research, education and/or leadership capability to support demonstration of advanced practice.
  • Pharmacists looking to extend/change their scope of prescribing practice.
  • Specialists maintaining a general interest elsewhere (e.g. infectious diseases specialist updating their knowledge/skills in mental health)

Each module runs over 3 months,  is worth 10 credits and you will receive a university transcript and certificate upon completion of each module. Pharmacists can apply on a ‘per-module’ basis, completing discrete modules according to their learning needs.

Each of our modules consists of:

  • eLearning (approx. 10 hours)
  • Face-to-face study day
  • Formative assessment opportunity
  • Summative assessment

To apply for CPD modules, please follow this link:

Let me reassure you that it is plenty of funding available, that it will be allocated on a first come-first served basis and no limit is applied to individual organisations.

If you have any questions, please contact the course team at: [email protected]

In anticipation of the obvious enquiry, this is distinct from NHSEs Independent Prescribing contract.  Once we have a clear message from NHSE, we will be updating you on the eligibility and application process.
