The University of Hertfordshire are now accepting applications for their Postgraduate Pharmacy Practice courses for the next academic year 2024-25. These courses include independent modules, Certificate, Diploma and MSc pathways on the programme. Further information is provided below on the application process.
Funding is available from NHSE WTE and applicants who wish to utilise these credits need to specify their employing organisation within the East of England region e.g. Hospital/Community Trust, Training Hub (for General Practice) or name of Community pharmacy, to enable us to confirm this utilisation. Funding covers independent modules, Certificate, Diploma and MSc programmes. Although credits are limited most students can be accommodated if they apply sooner rather than later.
Applicants who are not utilising this funding will need to inform The University of Hertfordshire of who will be funding their course e.g. self or employer (named person) or both.
New and continuing students should apply for the learning they wish to undertake in the 2024-2025 academic year.
CPD pathway
The CPD pathway is applicable to those who only want to undertake a standalone module. For further information on the standalone modules please click on the drop-down menu on the application portal: https://www.applycpd.com/HERTS/courses/117621. The deadline for applications is usually 14 days before the start of that module and students need to be enrolled onto their course by 31st March 2025 if they would like to utilise NHSE WTE credits.
Programme pathway
For those already on a programme pathway or wishing to undertake this pathway i.e. Year 1, Year 2 or Year 3, applications close on 15th August 2024. Please note that the core modules in Year 1 and Year 2 must be undertaken to achieve the relevant award. See provisional timetables attached for information on dates.
To apply for the programme pathway (Certificate, Diploma and MSc), visit:
https://www.applycpd.com/apply?courseid=117621
Continuing students should select the study days for their current Cohort (A or B) as this will not be changing.
New students should select all the study dates for Cohort A or all the study dates for Cohort B for the core modules. Note, they cannot be interchanged. Please advise students to discuss and agree their cohorts with their organisation prior to completion of the application. If a particular cohort group is oversubscribed, we will revise in conjunction with the organisation to ensure a balance in numbers.
Any further queries related to their application/admission or if there is likely to be a delay with an application, please contact [email protected] to enable The University of Hertfordshire to resolve this. To apply for Independent Prescribing as part of the programme pathway or for any further queries please also email [email protected]
Students need to contact [email protected] if they wish to be considered for Accreditation of Prior Certified Learning (APCL) into Year 1, 2 or 3 or if they are returning from an existing dormant status.
Induction dates are below for students on the programme pathway only. Students need to check the specific time for their cohort on the programme information page:
