Applications are now open for our July 2024 cohort of Newly Qualified Pharmacists on our Postgraduate Pharmacist Professional Programme or for Pharmacists wishing to study individual modules to support continuing professional development, which can be applied for on as ‘per-module’ basis.
The link to our webpage, which has information about the training programme and how to apply, can be found here: https://www.uea.ac.uk/course/short-course/newly-qualified-pharmacist-training-pathway
The Newly Qualified Pharmacist Training Programme at the University of East Anglia is designed to support early career pharmacists to develop their clinical and leadership skills. Completion of the 2-year course will enable pharmacists to secure a Postgraduate Diploma in Pharmacy Practice (PGDip) and have the opportunity to undertake their Post-Registration Foundation credentialling assessment with the Royal Pharmaceutical Society, thereby securing pharmacists a dual award. Further information about our course is available on our webpage and the attached brochure.
Newly Qualified pharmacists wishing to join our training programme will need support from an Educational Supervisor within their organisation and will need to have this arranged before applying, as the application form now asks for this information. The deadline for applying is 3rd May 2024.
Once the application has been processed by the university, information regarding module enrolments and studying at the UEA will be sent to enrolees on the Newly Qualified Pharmacist training programme the week commencing 13th May 2024.
Please note the date for induction onto the course is Tuesday 16th July at the University of East Anglia. This will be a full-day induction and we strongly encourage all educational supervisors of pharmacists on the programme to attend the induction alongside their supervisee.
Funding
UEA has a very small amount of NHSE credit left from last year which can be used, and they hope to hear from NHSE soon that the commission will be repeated for 2024 so applications may be delayed to closer to May until this is confirmed.
